We were delighted to welcome the group from the Business Exchange Training Programme, hosted in Germany by Cognos International, to our center on the 31st of March.
This programme brought together 20 amazing and significant companies from the agricultural and agro-processing sector in Ghana. Initiated by Invest for Jobs - Special Initiative Training and Employment and supported by GIZ Ghana and funds from the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), Ghanaian agribusinesses had the opportunity to visit different companies and institutions in Germany, exchange ideas with the experts. In addition, the participants were able to take part in various training seminars successfully.
We explained to the participants the special features and advantages of the practical dual training system in Germany, showed them around our training halls and told them about our projects in Africa.
In the afternoon, we went together to the farm Keller GbR in Sulingen. The participants received first-hand information from Mr Eike Keller about cattle farming as well as milk and feed production. The highlight of the tour was certainly the biogas installation with an electrical output of 800 kW.
We are happy about the new contacts with the Ghanaian agricultural companies and about our good relations with Cognos International, which is responsible for establishing and expanding cooperations with educational institutions and companies abroad.
